In 2014, founders and brothers, Simon Davison and Paul Davison, opened the first Escapology in Orlando, Florida. The concept of escape rooms where participants solve puzzles and riddles to "escape" from a themed room within a set time limit had been gaining popularity around the world, and Davison saw an opportunity to create a brand that could deliver high-quality, immersive experiences. Drawing on his growing experience in the leisure and entertainment industry, Davison decided they were ready to take the industry by storm and create something new, different, and wildly exciting.

By 2020, Escapology had expanded to 50 locations, attracting adventure-seekers and escape room enthusiasts from all over to experience the mystery and fast-paced fun for themselves. And by 2022, the brand had grown its footprint across the country, and the world, including countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and Mexico.
